 Germany Away Shirt 2008/09 – University Red/Black This is the new official Germany away football shirt for the 08/09 season and euro 2008 made by Adidas. The shirt is based on a kit used 100 years ago in 1908. The kit itself is 100% polyester and features three vertical bands, red, blue and red with the German FA badge in the middle of the central blue band, kit makers adidas have their logo in white up by the right shoulder and their three stripes over each shoulder in white. Germany is one of the three most successful national teams at international competitions and has won the World Cup three times, behind only Brazil (five titles) and Italy (four titles). Germany have also won the European Championship three times and finished as runners-up twice. The Germans have qualified for every European Championship tournament except for the very first EC they entered in 1968.
